Nothing builds a family of faith like going out into the community together to share the light and love of Jesus with others–either through talking one on one with people you encounter while you walk along the sea, or going to where the need is greatest and showing people just how much they matter, not only to you, but to their Creator.
Jesus shines through action, and we have seen that so clearly as the ARISE Outreach Team has been going to different areas of Beirut to connect with other’s and fill needs.
Our most recent outreach efforts included a visit to a nearby homeless shelter for war refugees. We wanted to do something special for the displaced kids who were so far from home and full of uncertainty and a lack of hope for the future.
Our team organized a fun afternoon for them; full of music performances, art activities and games. We were blessed to see so many young eyes light up and smiles that melted our hearts.
Our prayer is to continue to be an active presence in our community and be a beacon of hope, truth and love… especially during this time of war in Lebanon.
Please keep our outreach team in your prayers–that we will be led by God to the hearts that He is try to leave, and that, through His power, we will make an impact in the lives of those around us.
