Every year, during the weekend closest to Brazil’s Independence Day, ARISE Beirut hosts a cultural celebration of Brazilian liberty and heritage, and every year, the crowd gets larger. This year was no exception!
The evening was filled with cultural food and musical performances that flooded the hall with the smooth sounds of Samba, Bossa Nova, Frevo, Forró, and Sertanejo. The crowd also had it’s share of laughs as we played Brazilian trivia and traditional games together.
After the main event, guests gathered in the outdoor garden, waiting their turn to sample from a table filled with Brazilian dishes and treats that many had never tried; Coxinha, Pastel, Feijoada, Pão de Queijo, Brigadeiro and more.
The evening was not only a chance to celebrate our love and pride for Brazil, but was also another opportunity to connect with people from our community and form new friendships.
